Is survival the only and ultimate objective function(parameter) in the world?

All the biological discussion points are subject to what levels (biolayer) of biological entity we are talking about.

The objective function for a cell can be different and even nearly opposite of the one of species. The species one can be again totally the opposite of the whole ecological system. Again, the whole universe's point of view, survival of an eco system is either irrelevant or even the opposite of some unknown layer of information processing.

The ultimate parameter, hence, is not necessarily the efficiency of the survival of an individual who spreads his or her genetic information better than others. Evolution is about the process but not the purpose and ultimate meaning of life (living, reproduction, selection etc).

In that regards, when we compete against tigers, bacteria, roaches, and next door neighbours, we need to think about two things. One is the efficiency (often related to justice) and the other one is the pleasantness of it in terms of lack of friction, fun, agreement level, and beauty. Unfortunately, the second one can too subjective in human societies. That caused confusion and troubles resulting in relyling on religion, culture, and social customs.

What biologists need to do is not only defining precise mechanism of evolution and information processing, but also to research on more pleasant way of dealing with biological processes for contemporary people.
